1195 DL Plain & Simple Scooter Jacket & Car Coat

Here’s your new cool-girl, 3-season coat and
jacket, perfect in medium-weight wovens like 
linen, twill, brocade, denim, matelasse, boucle 
or soft tweed, real or faux suede, (p)leather or   
faux fur. These also work beautifully in those 
heavier, more stable knits like ponte, dense
sweater knits, sweatshirting, or even fleece.  

Relaxed-fit, unlined jacket & coat styles have
faced neck and hemlines, optional shoulder 
pads & interlining, angled welt pockets and
concealed snap closures; jewel neckline carries
darts for that essential bust shaping. Choose 
between full or 3/4 length two-piece raglan 
sleeves for both the jacket and the coat.

These chic-simple pieces will instantly elevate
any outfit from ‘O.K.’ to “no way!”; they’ll work 
in your favorite solid colors or in print & color
mixes, but they will be ah-may-zing as a blank 
canvas for all your favorite quilting, beading,
embroidery, patchwork or applique.

Shopping list

For the jacket with long sleeves in sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16
 you’ll need around 2 3/4 yards/252cm of fabric; for sizes 
18-20-22-24-26 you’ll need around 3 1/4 yards/298cm of fabric.

For the coat with 3/4 sleeves in sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16 you’ll
 need around 3 1/4 yards/300cm of fabric; for sizes 
18-20-22-24-26 you’ll need around 3 3/4  yards/345cm fabric.

For either style and all sizes, add the same yardage in 
interfacing (if you are interfacing the entire garment) and/or
the same in lining if you are interlining your coat or jacket.
You’ll also need  5 large sew-on snaps; (raglan) shoulder 
pads are optional. Add an extra 3/4 yard / 70cm interfacing 
for the jacket and 1 1/4 yards /115cm for the coat.
