Your closet will thank you for this trio of shirt-tail T’s!
These simple-chic styles are perfect for lighter weight
drape-y knits like rayon, silk modal, or slubby linen jersey.
Loose-fit, pull-on T’s have a slouchy-shapely silhouette,
with a ‘U’ neckline, a shaped center back seam, cut-on
cap sleeves, and a shirt-tail hem.
The neckline is finished with self fabric binding;
sleeves are finished with a turn-back cuff.
Choose between a solid or pieced front (great for stripes!),
or add some ultra-pretty ruffles. These fluid T’s work brilliantly
worn loose or semi-tucked with cropped jeans or pants, or
try them belted over a swooshy ‘A’ line maxi skirt.
For sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16 you’ll need around 1 1/4 yards/110cm
of fabric for the solid front version.
For sizes 18-20-22-24-26 you’ll need around 1 3/4 yards/160cm of
fabric for the solid front version.
*For all sizes, add ½ yard or 46 cm of fabric if you are making
EITHER the version in stripes with a pieced front OR the
version with a pieced front and ruffles; add 3/8 yard or 35 cm
of fabric for the version with a pieced front.*
Fabric amounts are for 60”/150cm wide fabric.
Most versatile pattern I own
I love this pattern - so easy to sew and so easy to wear. I made two in one afternoon - one a bright yellow plain and the other the pieced version in black and white stripe. I love casual dressing and this tee is now my definite 'go to'. Highly recommended!!
This was the second download pattern I have ever used and it is great. My first top included the frill which I left unfinished and it is so good and had loads of comments. Second oh yes is stripe and again great. I have some marled jersey for weekend plain one planned next. the top came out big so I adjusted and its great because you can print and go with your adjustments time and time again as you need. I have stored my pattern in an envelope which works brilliantly. It is great to think I don't have to wait for delivery to England, see it print it and away so instant love it.
