HP 1217 DL Weekender Utility Cargo Pants

These modern-classic pants are your new favorite
weekend essentials. They’re designed for light or
medium-weight fabrics; we love a little stretch for
extra drape and comfort but it’s not essential. Try
 crisp poplin or a heavier shirting, chambray, linen,
lighter weight denim or twill, or a cotton jacquard.
 
Semi-slim-cut pants have a faced waist with zipper
front fly and a buttoned waistband, plus princess 
seams front and back for a superior fit. Darted front
patch pockets segue into wide front belt loops; back
belt loops, back & leg patch pockets are optional but
fabulous. Topstitching adds a cool finish; cargos are
full length but we prefer them rolled or folded above
the ankle for a breezy look that shows off your shoes.

Wear these great borrowed-from-the-boys pants with a 
pretty lace blouse or slouchy peasant top to soften the
look, or keep it tough with a simple T and a relaxed Biker, 
Bomber or Blazer. Try them in an unexpected fabric like
brocade or satin for a modern dressed-up or evening look.

Shopping List

Sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16 will need around 2 1/2 yards/230 cm fabric;
sizes 18-20-22-24-26 will need around 3 yards/275cm fabric. 
All sizes will also need 1 x 9”/ 22cm zipper; 1 x 3/4”/2cm diameter
snap or button, plus 4x ½”/1.25cm diameter snaps or buttons. 
You’ll also need around 1/4 yard/23cm interfacing; topstitching
thread is optional.

All fabric allowances are for 60” or 150cm wide fabrics.
