HP 1223 DL Weekender Art School Sweaters

Here’s your perfect slouchy knits, great in
medium weight chunky knits, fleece and
sweatshirting fabrics, but also fabulous
pieced together from up-cycled sweaters.

Loose-fit, pull-on sweaters have a straight   
silhouette, with neckline darts for a great
fit over the bust. Choose a ‘V’ or a jewel
neckline, and make your new sweater in 
one fabric for a chic look, or piece your
fabrics for a cool patchwork version.

Long sleeves, hem and neckline are
finished with self fabric or knit rib trim.

Sweaters finish at mid thigh; contrast
hand-top-stitched seams are optional.
     
These modern wardrobe essentials will
be your cool-weather casual favorite;
they work perfectly worn alone or as 
a cozy layer over a slim T, cami or shirt.

Wear your sweaters slouchy and loose
or semi-tucked over your favorite slim
or boyfriend jeans, with slim cut ponte
or (p)leather pants, or try them over a 
floaty midi skirt for a luxe hippy look.

Shopping List

All-one-fabric version (either neckline) in sizes S-M-L 
will need around 2 yards or 184 cm fabric; sizes XL &
XXL will need 2 ½ yards or 228 cm fabric. 

If you need to use a separate rib trim for your neck, 
hem and cuffs, all sizes S-M-L-XL-XXL need around
 ½ yard or 46 cm knit rib.

For the patchwork version, all sizes S-M-L-XL-XXL 
will need at least 3 yards or 275 cm of various fabrics; 
if you’re up-cycling sweaters we suggest using the 
largest ones you can find, or be ready to sew lots of 
smaller patches together to make your larger patches!

 All fabric allowances are for 60” or 150cm wide fabrics.
