When you crave the easy glamour of a
sweatshirt but you need to look chic &
pulled-together, choose this gorgeous
retro-inspired piece, just right for
medium-weight fleece, sweatshirting,
ponte, scuba, or firm sweater knits.
Loose-fit, pull-over, dolman sleeve
sweatshirt has a faced boat neck with
an optional banded collar, 3/4 length
sleeves & hi-lo hemline. Back has a
center seam; your bust darts are
cleverly transformed into deep pleats
at the hem to create a cocoon shape.
Hem & sleeves finish with facings.
Make this in nubbly knits for a superior
sweater, or a classic sweatshirting for a
sporty look. Wear with a slim skirt or
pants, skinny jeans, or try stirrup pants
for a fab modern-retro outfit. Balance
the hi-lo hemline with a longer length
shirt-tail tank layered underneath, or wear
as-is to showcase the unique silhouette.

Beatnick Sweatshirt
Easy pattern to follow. Makes up beautifully. I’ve made 2 tops so far in lightweight jersey and they’re perfect. So comfortable and the stand up neckline is very flattering. I’ve had lots of very positive comments. Highly recommended pattern.

Top was too slouchy and unflattering for me. The hem and sleeve facings were difficult to sew flat.
