HP 1240 DL Fast & Fabulous City Slicker Pull-On Pants

Pull on these super-chic pants, designed for stretch
woven bottom-weight fabrics like stretch suitings
crepe, twill, sateen, & gabardine, even mid-weight
denim. You can also make these in dressy stretch 
bottom weight double knits like ponte or scuba
...just remember, the ‘stretch’ part is essential!

 Slim-fit, pull-on pants have a flat front with partially
elasticated waistband. You can make your pants 
with front & back Princess seams for a superior fit,
or join the pattern pieces before you cut your fabric
for a classic front & back pant leg. Choose between
a cropped hem or a full-length leg with shaped
hem and elastic stirrups. Princess seams or 
pressed-in creases can be stitched into place.  
    
 Wear your cropped versions with a slouchy sweater 
or sweatshirt, or a roomy boyfriend jacket, and some
chunky flats or block heel shoes. Try the stirrup versions
with a slimmer jacket or sweater, and definitely tuck
those stirrup pants into slim knee-high boots.

Shopping List

All sizes 6-8-10-12-14-16-18-20-22-24-26 both cropped 
& stirrup versions will need around 2 1/4 yards or 
206 cm fabric; you’ll also need enough 1 ½” or 3.8cm 
wide soft waistband elastic to *just* circle your hips when
fully stretched. PLEASE NOTE you can use wider or 
narrower elastic if you wish; we’ve included instructions 
on how to adjust the center front waistband for this.

Stirrup versions also need about 14" or 36cm of 1 1/2"
or 3.8cm wide elastic.

 All fabric allowances are for 60” or 150cm wide fabrics.
