HP 1263 DL DaVinci Pullover Shirts
I really love this shirt - the neckline with collar is what appeals to me the most, but I also like the gathers in the middle of the back. I had been looking for a tunic that was not just a scoop neck hanging from the shoulders. This one has real style and I think it is terrific. I will make solid and print tunics.
I made this in a beautiful rayon challis that is black with large red poppies on it. THe fabric is amazing. I found this to be a true-to-form Hot Patterns pattern. By that I mean, it has all the pluses that I have to expect with Hot Patterns: a simple design that flatters and is easy to sew. I was a bit concerned with the gathers under the V neck but it was easy enough to figure out. I love that this is a pull-over and I love that it has shaping, like the plackets for the sleeves and the cut of the blouse altogether. The collar is very nice too. I feel like I am wearing a t-shirt but I look considerably more done up. Now that is a nice feeling.
